Idea was to give logical (by choosing symbols) and emotional (by creating graphical decision) connections for logo.
Logo consists of two parts:
The top shows film reel and the bottom pictures the globe.
The full view of logo gives light association to number 8 – which is the number of UN Millenium Development Goals.
Visually it gives the sense of infinity, shows the motion of film around the Earth. Ideologically it gives the sense of festival‘s concerns about global problems, despite continent, nationality etc.
The colour of logo is dark brown – the colour of ground, field.
