Primarily, I aimed to steer away from explicit film imagery.
The logo, comprising a line for each of the 192 UN member states, celebrates and individualises each state, yet unifies them into a whole body for the purpose of the festival.
The circular image can be seen to represent both the earth, a democratic collective and a lens.
The stark black design on a white background is minimal, to prompt further exploration into the Stories of the Field.
Type is set in Futura Book and Light, with the festival title appearing in capitals for greater prominence, but spaced to allow each character to breathe.
