The created logo for the United Nations’ Documentary Film Festival has a strong relation to the United Nations’ logo. In the sense of a mother, it gives the new logo its colour (light blue and white presenting peace) and the appearance of a globe. The two aspects are very important for the intention of the film festival and its guidelines. The roll of film represents the media of the festival (documentary).
The tree with the “x-ray” view of its inside stands for the variety of humanitarian issues, that are “uncovered” by the documentary films and reveals a true, mostly poor picture of our world today.
