The design utilizes the concept of the film strip as a healing device, or 'plaster' in order to fully communicate the complete aims and objectives of the film festival. Upon carefully considering all the Millennium Development Goals that need to be illustrated in this logo execution, it became obvious to me to depict a logo that illustrates the overall 'healing' nature the United Nations Member States have pledged to uphold through their work. The logo thus aims to illustrate the logo's united and generalised depiction of all the goals, through the comparison of a film strip to a plaster strip.
