The Stories from the Field logo was designed to create a clear and memorable impression of a lively and purposeful festival.

A seed of a plant, which is considered a weed, is used as the icon for the film festival.
It signifies the facts that must be dispersed throughout the world, though they are inconvenience.

The eight plumose hairs of the seed symbolize the eight UN Millennium Development Goals that allow the messages in the films to touch the land smoothly.

The rectangle is a representation of the white screen, which shows how the UN millennium goals are reflected.

The blue color represents calmness and peacefulness, combined with bright yellow which denotes hope, joy, and happiness.

The title is in red to alert the people to pay more attention to the messages in the films.
