Uterus, mold, matrix, womb. The womb is the first shelter. It protects, gives confort and security. Its shape changes as a response to the growing of the baby inside.

“Womb´s” shape is the result of our interaction of the user with it. It provides a frame both physically and emotionally. When a natural disaster occurs, there is a need to rebuild a place where to root ourselves. Womb contains our body and creates an environment that can be familiar to us.

Light- weighted system that consists in an aluminum structure, a membrane covering and a “donut”. The structure is easily assembly by one person. The segments of poles are joint together by “buttons”. The trasluscent exterior cover allows the light to come in and out. The cover is fixed to the structure by putting the poles through holes. Its lateral ends have zippers to close the unit and to join one unit to the next. The inner “donut” is fixed to the external cover by Velcro. The donut can be filled with air, clothes, toys, etc. and changes its shape to room the human body. The donut can be also made by a waterproof material that floats. In case of flods, this “donut” can be used as a boat.
Nomadic, snail When the shelter is not needed anymore, it can be easily dissembled and carried in a bag.

“Womb” is thought as an additive system. The unit is designed for one person. When units are joined together it provides shelter to many people under the same “roof”. It can also be used as a first aid center, tracking center, or administrative premises.

Light When is put in the outside works as a lantern. The presence of others (other lights) who share the same situation, creates a sense of communion.
