This entry seeks to leverage mobile computing and social networks and add augmented reality to support relief efforts and preserve cultural memory for future generations. In brief, augmented reality uses the camera on your Smartphone to display computer generated information combined with the image from the camera. This entry coordinates the relief efforts through an internet server database that is used to identify assistance and determine need. This database features translation services to support the international effort and location based services such as news and radiation updates. QR Codes (Quick Response) are easily integrated into the equation for location based updates. The codes are easily printed and applied locally to link residents and the coordinated online process.
