HAND + HEART TO HAND + HEART

Four ways to be with you...

How to tell someone you do not know, that probably does not even speak your language that you really feel him/her, love him/her, support him/her?

There is one ancient Mayan belief that gathers, according to me, the idea of “support, love, hope, solidarity, connectedness, dreams, future, and other positive thoughts”:

People in Prehispanic Mexico believed God´s presence to be the wind. They did not conceive his word until they heard the wind coming out through a seashell. That was when the seashell became the instrument of the divine word.

Within three of the images I did, I explore the Virgula de la Palabra - that kind of snail/comma sign - symbol for the “beautiful words”, the instrument of the divine word pronounced by gods and Chamanes in ancient Mexico. This symbol represents those words that originate from the bottom of the heart- able to travel enormous distances just with a blow and arrive to the ears and hearts of who needs them.
