Threaded Lines of Handiwork

by Martin Tung

The circle represents endless, repetitive hard work of craftsmen using their physical labour to create quality craftsmanship, it also means uniformed work. The threaded lines that forms kaleidoscope symbol, gives symbolic meaning of quality work made using hands (hands creating threads and making patterns). Kaleidoscope symbolically means the true and beautiful form of handicraft, and literally means a diversity of something, such as experience and skill combined together to bring handicrafts. The rough, non-straight edges of kaleidoscope illustration defines simplifies the traditional approach used in handicrafts.

Finally, the circle in whole overall design represents the award label, the recognition of achievement.
