A wheelchair driving simulator, controlled by a real wheelchair controller.
This project at its prototype phase, was conceived as an experiment in alternative controllers and user interfaces. The wheels are wired to the PC, which uses magnets to measure the speed and direction of each one.
The player is required to "escape the maze", demonstrating easily by muscle effort the importance of accessibility for handicapped people. Players who tried this (if dared - some found the experience of sitting on a wheelchair too powerful) stated that the effort made them aware of what disabled people are going through, in their day to day tasks.
