Rapprochement is the establishment or re-establishment of cordial relations. I tried to visualize this idea with the metaphor of creating “stronger ties” between nations. The different colored cords coming together into a knot represents the goal of tying together cultures that may be considered “loose ends” today- and how this is beneficial to all. Also, it expresses that both diversity and solidarity are the ultimate aspiration.
