Culture Counts: UNESCO poster competition

Competition Details

by Katherine Strashnov

Earth is a home that we share and although we may forget that somtimes, now is the time to remember and reconnect. The torn paper represents the drifiting of cultures and countries. Coming together is represented by the thread connecting both ripped sides. Blue and green thread were used because they are the colors of the Earth. The hand that is sewing the paper together lacks colors because color doesn't matter, all that matters is that we come together. This healing hand holds the needle that it has used to patch together our Earth in hope for rapprochement.
