Social Tissue

by Maria Teresa Bologna

This design is a call back to the basics: The human been, our own body. What are we made of? Flesh. We're a complex union of tissues connecting each cell, each organ, each single part into whole.

The same principle applies to our community, in fact, we call it "social tissue". What better example of rapprochement than our own body? This tells not only that "dialogue", "understanding" and "cooperation" are a right and duty for every individual, but is the clue for a healthy and productive community.

As a visual concept, this design resembles the macroscopic view of the human tissue, overlapping within different and harmonic colors to recall the different cultures, the connection and interaction (that ought to exist) between them.
