I am thinking that colors are very representative, whether of culture, flags, skin tones and more. So I am playing with the idea of colors here depicted through a body shape to give the idea that somehow, everyone and everything is influenced by each other. That's also where the notion of rapprochement is! (Plus, I think that it's a really fun, easily-understandable, attention-catching poster.)
The second poster has the same idea, only that it plays with a more sensitive range of colors.
