The bunting of the 2010 International Year for the RAPPROCHEMENT of CULTURES logo has been morphed into one continuous, harmonious, multi-color ribbon that wraps the globe with symbols of peace. The separate colors representing different cultures, which are so beautifully woven in the original logo are still distinct, but are now blended into one streamer to further illustrate closer relationships that accept, acknowledge and join with each other in peace. One of the most universally accepted symbols of peace, adapted from the United Nations logo, the olive branch, has been woven over and over into the banner. The globe, in the center of the composition has been adapted from a website sponsored by the International Space Station project, thus merging the cooperation of science, technology, culture and art in one representational piece. Thank you for the opportunity to submit this poster design for consideration as part of your exhibit.
