Diversity brings many things to mind. Each of us perceives this world based on our experiences in life shaping us into who we are. These very differences are what makes us and the world we live in so complex and interesting. To come up with a symbol that represents a festival that celebrates these differences in people and in the arts was a wonderful creative challenge. I find it important for the logo to be as simple as possible with just the right elements to communicate what the bare essence of the festival is. That is makes the image iconic. When you review my image you will see the diversity of people coming together, from different worlds sharing the joy of music and fine art as a common bond. The faces in my image are different, and facing apart, yet, coming together with a clef symbol and paint brush show them entwined in the love of art. Even in black and white the image translates in a simple clean way, a warm inviting image that says so much.
