In terms of ethics of communicaton, a concept like “diversity “ should not be summarized in a unique symbol, otherwise the designer has to face an ethical “non-sense”. The problem is that making a unique visual metaphor of 'diversity' entails a traslation and debasement process of the metaphor itself. 'Diversity' is instead a vital value which we must preserve also by small comunicative actions . The diversity is colour, culture, richness, change, growth, necessity. 'Diversity' is a planet laden with primary and colored symbols, sometimes playful, sometimes a reminder of pop-history..... a flowerbed which we have to hose down while contemplating its growth.
