LANGUAGES MATTER! A UNESCO poster competition

Competition Details

First words

by Ana Botelho

The basic idea was to have a very simple but attractive poster.
The poster is dominated by a pacifier; that like our mother language accompanies our first years of life being part of our education, building our grow-up.
The pacifier “hides” our first words.
The CMYK colors enhance the importance of the mother language as a base and starting point and influence to further achievements.
As colors result from different combinations between the 3 color that represent the CMYK (cyan, magenta and Yellow), each country and nation history is undoubtedly connected to their mother language.
The richness, complexity and development that surround us daily have their origin on the simple things that structure us.
