Languages against CO2

by Carlos Bartesaghi Koc Bartesaghi koc

Voices around the world are screaming desperately for HELP!. Voices around the world have HOPE of a better future. We´re burning our resources, we´re burning our world, and like smoke escaping from chimneys they will disappear if we don´t do anything about that. I´ve found a word that doesn´t have language, nationality and doesn´t discriminate, this is “CO2”. This word is the biggest menace that we have to face nowadays, this word is infringing our social, cultural & environmental heritage, and We must stop it now!

In all languages people are shouting loud to their authorities and we are still to time of remedying our mistakes. I tried to express all of this in my submission, the multilingualism of a common necessity for a soon change.

The poster in fact has been developed thanks to the support of friends that translated for me the words in their mother languages, managing to compile the following ones: English, French, Spanish, German, Quechua, Chinese, Dutch, Greek, Italian, Portuguese, Japanese, Korean, Russian, Danish, Swedish, Africaans, Polish, Turkish, Latin, Arabic, Slovak, Hebrew, Hindi, Hungarian, Norwegian, Rumanian, Filipino, Ukrainian, Lithuanian, Thai, Indonesian, Vietnamese, Malay, Swahili and English Braile Code; in order to make an understandable message wherever you are, and at the same time try to emphasize and revalue the graphic expression of each language and shared and give them to know.

I´ve realized that languages matter when we must protect our mother earth, our cultural life, when we want to preserve our social expressions and fight against the environmental unawareness, when we must teach to someone else how care and protect our world, or in other case the climate change won this war; this is the real war, no between us. We have the power to scream aloud in our mother languages and make it true.
