A mother language defines us as who we are, where we came from, and what kinds of treasures our culture and country of origin has to offer to the world.
Not only does it differentiate between the individuals that we are, but it brings attention to our gifts and those qualities that make us unique. Thus, a Mother Language should never be forgotten, because it is a key to our past that connects us together as a whole. That is why it is important to note that on February 21st of 2009 and beyond, “Language Matters!”
