We, as consumers, make choices every day that impact our world. From the food we eat to the clothes we buy, we have the power to cultivate and support environmentally responsible companies. The forest products industry is no exception. Without the standards set by the Forest Stewardship Council, we run the risk of endangering the earth, ourselves, and our communities.

I chose to create a world out of trees in order to convey the global impact of forestry. In my art, the tall tree trunks support our land, but for how long? My aim is to show consumers that no matter where they are, their purchasing power has global effects, and that every single purchase counts.
