Driving Fun

Caption: “We would do anything for more driving fun – therefore we continue doing anything against climate protection. Fortunately we have an influence on politics. – The German Automobile Industry”

In my work I concentrated on the high average CO2-emissions of the German automobile companies and their focus on bigger and faster cars instead of developing more efficient and ecological cars.

I photographed two urban scenes showing a SUV and a sportive convertible. I manipulated the photos and created a possible near future cityscape achieved by the automobile companies: an extra SUV-lane, all muddy and fun to drive, and racing curbs placed in curves. The posters should remind the viewer of actual advertising campaigns for the automobile industry (mostly concentrating on driving fun) and should also reveal the madness as well as the ignorance of the companies in the current climate debate.
