In-between two planes was the inspiration that lead to the design of the chair. While celebrating the simplicity of the silhouette of a chair the insight into the construction of the piece was discovered. Stability was achieved by expressing the negative space of the seat and back planes on the left and right sides as support elements. The hidden joints provide a simple line of elegance. Projecting the profile of the seat and back planes allows for the exposition of the directionality and juxtaposition of the plywood grain in both horizontal and vertical direction, but seen in the same plane. Its assembly is as simple as its form.
