This project is an exploration into how the layered characteristic of plywood can influence the form of the design. By quartering the sheet of plywood and arranging these pieces into an overlapping, interlocked grid two chairs can be constructed whose strength belies their stature. This maximizes the utility of the plywood while minimizing the waste; striking a balance between use, form and material.
