This design produces two chairs and one side table from one sheet of 4'x8' plywood. The pieces rely entirely on slot joints (using angled cuts) to hold the chairs together. Neither fasteners nor glue are needed to assemble the furniture. The angled cuts used for the slots ensure that the pieces fit together tightly to prevent the pieces from moving after they have been assembled. The chairs utilize a sloped seat and backrest for greater comfort.
The first image shows a built and assembled prototype of the furniture. The second image shows the pattern of cuts, and the third image shows the cut plywood sheet (before assembly.) All three furniture pieces can be easily disassembled, and then the components can be stacked on top of each other for storage or shipping.
