3R's & The World

I wanted to bring across the traditional Recycle, Reduce, Reuse motto, but at the same time show the world through simple images that represent it. The checkerboard pattern was created for just that reason to have a pattern that would look interesting once the cloth had been folded. The colors chosen for the checkerboard were meant to represent the earth. The green is meant for the land, and instead of using a blue for the water and sky, I inverted the green to get a deep violet. I thought this this was more appealing to the eye.
