I wanted this logo to be representative of the City of Kobe, Japan. By using recognizable symbols such as the Akaishi Bridge that serves as a gateway into the city and the interlocking 'c's taking cues from the city's website, wraps around the logo along with the caption "G8 Environment Minister Meeting Kobe, Japan 2008". The bonsai tree represents the spirit that is Japan and what this G8 meeting is all about...the environment. Finally, the colors of blue, green and white represent our plant Earth to further drive the environmental focus.
