Eight Leaves Behind

by Jorge Tarzia

The piece aims to represent the topic of the environment in Kobe.
The 8 leaves represent the G8, whilst the block formation represents the fragility, the built environment and a subtle reference to recent tremors in the city of Kobe. This links to the fragility and shattering impact we have on our natural environment.
Leaves is also a metaphor for what we 'leave' behind by the actions we take.
